Tank Tap Adapter
HotSpot has developed and manufactures it's Tank Tap tank adapter that makes it simple to convert any standard hot water tank into a heat recovery tank. The adapter consists of an all-copper coaxial fitting that replaces the 3/4" boiler drain that comes standard on a hot water tank.
The Tank Tap adapter allows you to add ports to the
tank by providing additional inlet and outlet
ports on any standard hot water tank, so that the normal
plumbing at the top of the tank does not have to be disturbed
during installation. You can use it to adapt any standard water
heater tank into a heat recovery tank for use with
a geothermal hot water generator or ECU/heat recovery
systems. Can also be used to connect a solar thermal water heating system to a standard water heater tank.
